      Second Generation Antipsychotics

Second generation antipsychotics (generally known as “typical PAs”) are drugs that have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of a broad range of conditions. These drugs were created for treating a few conditions, but they have since proven to be effective and are being used to treat many more.

These drugs are meant to be used at the lowest dose and without long term side effects. Some medications have the potential to cause some side effects, while others may not.
